Why Tayu's
There is no shortage of places to buy baby things. There is a shortage of places that choose the way a mother would.
We started with the hardest skin to please
Tayu's exists because our founder's son reacted to almost everything. Every fabric and material we work with is judged against that standard first — soft enough, breathable enough, and free of the finishes and blends that so often cause rashes and restless nights.
If a product would not be safe for a baby prone to allergies and sensitivities, it does not make it to our shelves. That isn't a feature we added later. It is the reason the brand exists.
Every product has to earn its place
Most baby stores ask what will sell. We ask a harder question: would we give this to our own child? That single test removes far more products than it approves — and it is why our range is deliberately smaller than it could be.
What is left is a shelf you can shop from without reading every label twice. We have already done that part, so you don't have to spend the little energy you have second-guessing it.
We tell you what things are actually made of
"Premium" and "super-soft" mean nothing on their own. We would rather tell you the fabric, the weave, and how it behaves after ten washes — including the things that are a trade-off rather than a selling point.
Honesty is easier to keep than it is to claim, so we keep it simple: if we wouldn't say it to a friend, we don't print it on a product page.
Some things we make. Everything we sell, we stand behind.
Our own label covers the pieces closest to your baby's skin — muslin, clothing, everyday essentials — designed and specified by us so we control the fabric, not just the print.
Around that, we curate the rest of what a family needs, applying exactly the same test to someone else's product as we do to our own. Whether we made it or found it, our name on it means we would use it ourselves.
Tayu's, compared
| Tayu's | A typical baby store | |
|---|---|---|
| How products are chosen | Tested against the most sensitive skin we know — a mother's own child | Picked on trend, price and margin |
| Size of the range | Deliberately small; each item earned its place | Endless shelves, light vetting |
| What you're told about materials | The actual fabric, weave and trade-offs | "Premium", "soft", "breathable" — undefined |
| Allergy-prone babies | The default we design and select for | A niche, if considered at all |
| When something isn't right | Tell us and we make it better, family to family | A ticket number and a policy page |

One less thing to worry about
You already carry more than anyone can see. Choosing what touches your baby's skin shouldn't be another load on top of it.
That is the whole promise of Tayu's: do the searching, hold the standard, and hand you a shelf you can trust without thinking twice.
Chosen through a mother's eyes. Every single time.
