Tayu's began the way so many meaningful things do — with a mother, a child, and a problem that refused to be ignored.
Our founder, Lavanya, discovered early on that her little boy's skin reacted to almost everything. Fabric after fabric brought rashes, redness, and restless, uncomfortable nights. Determined to give him relief, she threw herself into research — reading labels, comparing materials, and learning what truly made a difference to a baby's delicate skin.
Along the way, she noticed something bigger. Those early months of motherhood — the sleepless nights, the physical recovery, the weight of postpartum depression, the endless mental load — leave most mothers with little time or energy to search for the right products. If it was this hard for her, it was just as hard for millions of others doing their very best with so little left in the tank.
That realisation became a mission. On her son's first birthday in 2024, Lavanya founded Tayu's — a heartfelt tribute to him, and a promise to mothers everywhere. What began as one mother's search has grown into a team that shares her belief: today we bring together everything a family needs to keep a child safe, comfortable, and happy.
